About SCA
Welcome to SCA, Sudbury's only private Christian school established in 1982, where we prioritize excellence in education and personal growth. Our stellar early learning program lays a strong foundation while our first-class elementary curriculum excels in language, math, and science. We also boast an excellence-driven extra curricular program, featuring award-winning robotics and cross-country running teams. Located just three city blocks from Adanac Ski Hill, we offer unique opportunities for our students, including annual instructional field and the SCA Eagles extracurricular sports program.

Those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Our Identity
Sudbury Christian Academy (SCA) is an independent, non-denominational, Christian school, whose foundations are rooted in the evangelical family of churches. This means that we embrace the richness and diversity of thought within the evangelical tradition, while finding our deepest unity in our shared love for Jesus Christ and in our commitment to the gospel - the good news of salvation by grace and through faith in Jesus. We rest on the truth and authority of the Bible and seek to let God’s love shape us and shine through us into our campus, our classrooms, our community, and our city.
Academy practices and teachings conform to common Christian beliefs and do not include the incorporation of non-Christian religious or spiritual practices. SCA welcomes students and families from the Sudbury community that may not belong to any particular Christian church, and who are willing to attend the total program at the Academy, including faith practices such as prayer, chapel service, and Bible teaching.
At the heart of our mission and Christian identity is the belief that every person is created in God’s image and, as the psalmist writes, “fearfully and wonderfully made” (Psalm 139:14). We are committed to helping students discover their true identity and immeasurable worth in Christ, and to recognize their unique purpose in God’s story. Through delivering a Christ-centered education of mind, body, and spirit, we seek to inspire curiosity, cultivate virtue, and empower students to live out their calling with courage and joy.

Our Mission
Our mission is to provide a Christ-centered education that nurtures the mind, body, and spirit of every student. In Sudbury, where families value community, resilience, and a strong sense of purpose, we work to bring faith and learning together in ways that feel authentic and connected to everyday life.
We want students to discover their gifts, grow in confidence, and understand their purpose in Christ. Our programs invite them to explore their interests, develop their abilities, and recognize the unique ways God has shaped them.
We are committed to creating a warm and supportive school environment where each child is known personally and cared for with intention. Families in Sudbury consistently look for a place where their children feel safe, valued, and encouraged, and we work hard to honour that trust. Guided by hope, truth, virtue, and purpose, we help students build a meaningful moral and spiritual foundation that will carry them forward.
Our Vision
Our vision is to help shape future generations by nurturing a strong Christian worldview in every student. We believe that a Christ-centered education should reach the mind, the body, and the spirit, and we work to bring these elements together in a way that feels real and meaningful for families in Sudbury.
We encourage thoughtful learning, good judgement, and a deep respect for truth. We teach Christian virtues in practical ways so students can understand how their faith guides the choices they make and the way they treat others.
Our hope is to prepare well rounded young people who are confident in their purpose and ready to live faithful and meaningful lives. We want our students to become ambassadors for Christ in their homes, their friendships, and their future workplaces. In doing so, they help reflect the heart of Christ in the world around them.

"Our family is so grateful for SCA ELC! The educators have helped our daughter grow not only in her learning but also in her faith, and we’ve seen her confidence blossom. Now that our son has started too, we feel so blessed knowing both of our children are surrounded by such love and care."
